What Our Guests Say...
Kuben Govender03/05/2024 We did not stay here..but we called to find out if we could have breakfast there. The lady at the front desk said they where full..She went on to tell us of some of the good place's to eat around here and she was absolutely kind to point us to one of the most beautiful restaurants down the road. Thank you. David Motsoeneng31/03/2024 I was a guest for two weeks a number of years ago.The accommodation was excellent, the staff very courteous and helpful. The scenery us quite breathtaking to say the least. The only challenge was a network that had an intermittent reception.I highly recommended the place for anyone who would like a place to reflect and have peace of mind in the Natal rural setup.I am looking forward to my next visit. Alain Latham20/01/2024 Seaforth County Lodge on the Sani Pass road in the Southern Drakensberg was our “home from home” for the past few days. The main house is an historic stone farmhouse with 6 beautifully furnished double rooms, a large shared galley, dining room and cosy sitting room with fireplace. This unspoiled region of the drakensberg is home to many wild creatures such as servals, jackals, spotted genets, porcupines, baboons and various buck living alongside the Mkhomazana River that runs through its pristine hills. Barbara Taljaard15/01/2024 Wow wow, what a wonderful 7days we had with our family when we booked Seaforth, this beautiful completely restored old world stone lodge. We were well looked after by staff members Victoria & Johannes, who were obliging & so helpful with all our needs. Made us beautiful fires to enjoy, & the picture window in the dinning room was were we spent a lot of family time, playing games & enjoying the surrounding mountains. Lots of walks to the river & surrounds were enjoyable. As we did our own catering in the well fitted kitchen Victoria was always keen to assist, it was so restful. Seaforth holds functions such as weddings, conferences here as well, which I'm sure would be wonderful in the awesome surroundings. Just a little touch I enjoyed as a Christmas fan, Yvonne the owner had kindly decorated the lodge for Christmas, tree and all....thank you so much you certainly went out of your way to make it very festive & such a lovely touch. Huge thank you. Seaforth, we'll be back. Sherri Taljaard27/12/2023 We've just spent a week at the lodge over Christmas. We were a group of twelve, so booked out the whole lodge. It is a beautiful old stone building with stunning grounds. Bedrooms are large with very comfortable beds and lovely en suite bathrooms, great showers. Fire places galore and the dining room has a spectacular picture window looking out over the dam and the Lesotho mountains. There is a short walk to the crystal clear river, which is swimmable. The staff are wonderful, so friendly and happy to help. They are attentive but not intrusive and keep the lodge spotless. Bird life is abundant and we even saw a serval visiting the dam a few times. Priscilla the pot bellied pig is very sweet and wonders around the grounds. If you're looking for olde world charm I would definitely recommend this lovely place.
